I was checking out the PlayCloths blog the other day, and came across this interesting ad campaign from DDB Auckland, in which they "altered benches to press an advertisement for Superette, a clothing chain in New Zealand, into the bare legs of people who sit on them. They read “Short shorts on sale Superette”.
I obviously wouldn't be stoked to serve as a walking advertisement for a brand that I don't represent - but at the end of the day, the choice is in the individuals hand - sit or don't sit. Obviously a different point of reference is whether or not the firm is sourcing all of the benches independently, or altering part of the public domain, but regardless, kudos to DDB Aucland for thinking outside of the box on this one!
