4am, Day after Thanksgiving. Apparently the first lot of ppl started lining up in the early afternoon (aka, these kids skipped Thanksgiving dinner lol). Whatever it takes for the free shirt and 50% off everything in the store? Check the TH BLOG for more.
Not sure if that's big of a deal since you can't get a Karmaloop sale pretty much year round, lol, but might as well swing through and get 20% off and free shipping with the code "GIVE".
Vans & Chucks are two pairs of kicks that absolultely timeless in my eyes. Cheap, durable, and stylish. Why not? Anyway, Get 25% off all shoe purchases at vans.com AND free shipping by using the code "THXCUSTOM07". There is another code for their clothes, but uh, let's be honest. Anyways, code is ONLY good for orders placed on Thanksgiving Day. Thanks to Complex for the heads up.
Dope appropriation from an 80's legendary brand, or, blatant rip off? I'll leave that decision to you. But I will say, Chunk and Ape is a new brand based out of Hawaii doing big things. Be on the look out.
Pusha T and Malice of the Clipse dropped Season 1 of their highly anticipated line, Play Clothes. It's avalailable at select boutiques and online retailers. Check (and cop) some pieces from the line here. Or, cop their online exclusive, limited edition 80's Montage logo at their official Online Site. Lovin' the logo, but its a recession. Not sure if I'm getting back on the $40 t shirt bandwagon yet...
I think I'm posting this shoe pretty much soley as a reminding to myself to buy these on January 17th. These are supposedly going to be the lightest BBALL shoe on the market, and they look to be a lo-mid, which I'm all about when I take the court. Supposedly Kobe had them modeled after a running shoe? Anyway, MANY more pics here.
Ok, I read this story while perusing Miss Info's Blog, Hilarious.
Apparently, Q-Tip had a show in Vegas, and the purple one aka Prince was in attendence. During "Vivrant Thing" Prince crashed the stage out of nowhere, grabbed a guitar, and did his thing. Best part, no one even knew he was there.
Straight from DJ Scratch: “Yo, while me and Q-tip were performing “Vivrant Thing” in Vegas last night….this n—a Prince walked out on the stage, took the guitar from our guitar player and just started rocking! None of us knew he was there until he popped up on the stage….then the n—a vanished like Batman, LOL!
The sound crew said Prince was in the balcony watching the show from the very beginning (The balcony was closed off). Then when “Vivrant Thing” came out, he just came backstage and walked out on stage.
None of us knew what was happening, then when we finished the show he was gone LOL!”
Shout out to Chucho for the heads up. My understanding is 88 Keys is more of a producer 'slash' rapper lol, and I'm all about Kid Cudi right now, so this track had to be posted. I'm loving the Andrew Gold ("Never let her slip away") sample.
Check out Chucho cosign: "you should check [88 Keys]out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLShcVyMcz0, this is ish with kanye called stay up. he is produced by kanye ta da, and his sh t reminds me of talib when he was dope(ie quality)".
Lochness is back with a new season of the Award Tour. I dug their summer line A LOT. I guess they switched it up the t's this year from American Apparal back to AAA (the standard blank that brands like The Hundreds, Diamond Supply Co, Crooks N Castles, and the majority of the others in the scene). Not going to lie, I was a fan of American Apparel fit/quality, but more ppl are accepting of the AAA's, so its probably a wise move on his part. Lookbook should be available soon, with the product being available near the end of the week. Check the the AT BLOG for more info.
The Hundreds? Vinyl Toys? Two of my favorites on a collab? Count me in, lol. Only 500 total made (you know what that means). Drops today at THLA and THSF. See here for more and the complete background behind the design process . Oh, and is it just me or is the box just as cool as the toy itself? LoL...
Well, the big day is finally on us. I'm not going to say 'get out there and vote' cuz we all have enough people telling us to do that (besides, for everyone that doesn't vote, it makes those of us who did vote have that much louder of a voice, haha). Anyway, when its all said and done, I'll sit back and once again hope that 'next time' the candidates will focus more on what they want to do when they get in office and more importantly HOW they are going to do all the lofty things they promise, and focus less on what the other guy can't do. Politcs are just so damn political, lol
Been meaning to post the song for a minute now. After flirting with beef ever since that AllHipHop battle last year, Royce and Joe got together and banged out some joints, one of which is this INSTANT classic, Slaughterhouse, that brings together along the aforementioned Budden and Royce, along with Joel Ortiz, Crooked I, and Nino Bless.
Who knew these guys would become like the new age Rat Pack (or Rap Pack? badoom psh!) You can find countless vids of them in the studio together, drinking together, and more importantly, sitting down and discussing the possibilities of a 4-man collabarative effort (watch that last video for sure. If after listening to the song above, and then watching them talking about getting away for 3 weeks and lockin it down doesn't get you excited for this project, I don't know what will).
And before I forget, shout out to Dilemma for getting a track on Budden's upcoming release on Amalgalm Digital! Check his blog for more info!
