So my man Mike Posner finally shot a video for his hit single, Cooler than Me. If you follow the site, you know I've been a fan of Posner for a bit now, and I think he's going to do big things in the next couple years. It's a shame our boy Big Sean didn't get the look on the video, but they still through together a nice product (blend of the original version and the Gigamesh remix). Oh, and I see you Mike rocking that Dr. Romanelli jacket! I had a chance to interview Mike Posner back when he had a show at the Roxy, never got around to posting it though. For those interested, his favorite brand is the aforementioned, Dr. Romanelli (what out for those customer vintage jackets - mean!), lowkey on the kicks (Puma slip-ons), and most importantly, his favorite Dookie of all time is the one and only Wojo. Yes, these things matter, haha.

Roseweb Wallets

Rosewebs is a small company I stumbled on that makes various items (wallets, purses, all-purpose pouches, etc) all made from reclaimed and recycled lawn furniture webbing (which, as described by Rosewebs, is "an eco friendly,vegan alternative to leather"). All of the items are hand-made, and are of upmost quality (I received my wallet earlier this week, and have been impressed thus far). I was a little hesitant to move on from the money clip, but these are thin enough to get the job done.

Stussy x James Jarvis

Illustrator James Jarvis, of Amos fame, collaborated with Stussy on 3 shirts this season. I like the end result - simple graphics that aren't overly branded. Each shirt features a different Jarvis drawing, along with 3 different messages("Dance first, think later", "Keep your art to yourself", and "Please play at a reasonable volume"). Diggin this quite a bit. Samples Big L, and Vado even flips the wordplay and pays homage to Big L's classic, Ebonics, in the last verse. RIP BIG L, Flamboyant for life.

Tellason Denim

So evidently I came up on a pair of Tellason jeans today. I'm stoked.... as is the gf (the fit/rise/quality/attention to detail on these are great). Only party that is unhappy about the deal are my APC Petite New Standards (with whom I have had an exclusive relationsip with since September of 2008, haha). There are actual quality/premium denim built for G.A.M. (grown-ass men) - not just trendy jeans with some fancy patchwork/wash/stitching on the back-pocket.

Ray Ban - Original Wayfarer - Rare Print Edition

Simply stated - diggin these. It's all about the contrast - the classic, timeless model/shape of the glasses, offset by the bright, colorful flower imprint on the inner frame. This is kind of like wearing a pink polo/tee under a suit (a la Miami Vice), or rockin' a mullet (Business in the front, Party in the back).

Kobe Bryant - 4x NBA Champion, 3x All Star MVP, 08 MVP and Finals MVP, and World Famous Fashion Model?

LA Times Magazine recently did an interview-feature on the NBA player everyone loves to hate, Mr. Kobe Bryant, while having him model some "white hot" gear, pause. Check it out here(don't worry, there are more pictures), and be sure to tune in to Game 1 of the 2nd Round Playoffs today, as Kobe's Lakers take on the Jazz.

(At least this is in LA Times Magazine, and not a National publication like GQ (ahem, what up 50) so Kobe will for the most part get a pass on this as long as Kobe keeps the championship in LA).
