Big Sean x Diamond Supply Co
Big Sean x Diamond Supply Co. 'Nuff said, right? Anyway, Big Sean linked up with Nick over at Diamond Supply Co and the result was a capsule collection featuring t-shirts, snapbacks, and the tank you see above (also featured in a red colorway - paying homage to Big's hometown hockey team). If you want to support - act fast. Supply is SUPER limited (200 in each colorway for the T's, and only 50 in each colorway for the hats), so purchase here.

Adidas EQT Zero
These are some of the flyest Adidas shoes that I have seen in a few years. Available now at NiceKicks online.
"Street savvy but performance ready, retro clean yet progressive, the adidas EQT Zero runs as much as it struts. An illuminating infrared upper catches the eye while speed lacing and a TPU skeleton lockdown the foot. Heel SOFTCELL and midfoot TORSION push performance..."

Crazy 4 Cult - Yr 5
Hot Karl, excuse me, Jensen, has been doing a great job attracting talent to his Art Gallery (Gallery 1988) over the years, and his "Crazy 4 Cult" series has by far been one of the most successful. Back for the 5th annual installment this July, they recently released the promo poster featuring the art of none other than Alex Pardee. Look for the print above to be released in poster format at the opening on July 8th, in addition to the "highly limited giclee print of just the skull image, no text". See you there!

Katin x The Hundreds
Back when I was in the 7th grade (circa mid-90's) - Katin and their infamous K-Man logo was the ticket! They had a slight fade in to obscurity during the mid-90's (from a mainstream perspective - their store down in Huntington Beach was still one of the better surf shops in the area). That being said, they are once again finding themselves in the limelight with their recent collaboration with The Hundreds.
PERSONALLY, I'd prefer to save $10 and get a classic Katin K-Man logo shirt without the co-brand, but I still think the collaboration is dope in that is bringing some attention back to a brand that was thriving in the 90's. Check a video promo for the collab after the jump (dope song!).

Fabolous | You Be Killin' Em (It's Overture Tempo Murderer Edit)
You Be Killin Em (Its Overture's Tempo Murderer Edit) (125-98) by Its Overture
So this is one of my favorite beats in the last year shouts to Ryan Leslie on this one straight drums are always clean. A song like this always needs a epic intro so It's Overture went in a put some magic touches on it I'll let them explain:
Thinking that such an intro deserved an intro of its own, we put together this little tempo tool that goes heavy on the build up (flipped to a BPM of 125) and uses the original track as its climax. By adding a context-appropriate Barrington Levi sample to serve as a verbal air horn of sorts, hopefully we achieved the rare feat of making a tempo tool just as equally headphone worthy.
NICE!

Favorite Pastime
Before being re-energized with last weeks post on FreedMinds, I had almost forgot how much I liked doing posts on new and emerging brands. Today's feature is on a new brand called "Favorite Pastime", a San Diego based brand with goods made entirely in Southern California. I posted a nice preview video showcasing their Spring/Summer after the jump - but picture a toned-down Warriors of Radness - Quality, beachwear inspired goods, with a little less focus on the bright colors and graphic images. If they keep this up, "Favorite Pastime" will quickly become one of my favorite brands.
Now I just need to hit the road down south to one of my favorite shops outside of the LA area, UNIV, and see what they still have in stock.

Blake Griffin - Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011
After having to go nearly half of last season before finding out what sneaker camp Blake was even signed to, Nike went ahead and had the man child model the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 in this set of flicks. I'm expecting to see a LOT more Blake Griffin ads this year - so consider this your preview. More pics after the jump, via Dime.

Geoff McFettridge x UNDFTD
Artist/Designer and Undefeated collaborated on a capsule t-shirt collection, available July 24th at all Undefeated Flagship stores in addition to online. All shirts feature playful and summer-esque renditions of the Undefeated logo (think fun in the sun, and a 4th of July ready flag rendition), and you can't go wrong with that. Check the complete line-up over at Undefeated.
Sebago Dockside ‘Color-Block’ Series Spring Summer 2012
Now I'm always one to co-sign having one piece of a colorful/outlandish accessory, shoes included, and I've been seeing an influx of bright boat shoes of late. To be honest, I'm quite surprised these images, via HS, are from Sebago's 2012 Spring/Summer collection, as it seems that it is likely that the colorful boat shoe look may have run its course by then.

Drake | Trust Issues
He's in a zone right now and I'm not mad at it. Don't worry he raps @ 2:37 and kills it.

Nike Sportswear Air Flow - Old vs New Pack
I'm really looking forward to Nike Sportswear (NSW) bringing back the classic Air Flow's. Hypbeast got some exclusive pictures of the Old vs New pack (details below), which is dropping June 25th. The electric green/neon blue colorway is MEAN!
The Nike Air Flow is an iconic shoe, conceptualized by Air Force 1 designer Bruce Kilgore and launched over 20 years ago (in 1989) in a neon colorway. Since then, brightly colored, running-inspired sneakers have become a norm in the footwear world. Nonetheless, the official announcement of the Nike Air Flow Old vs. New Pack is an exciting one. Encompassing two colorways – the classic electric green/neon blue as well as a lush teal/varsity purple – the Old vs. New Pack was designed by Nike to serve as a testament to the influence the Air Flow has had in terms of sneaker design over the past two decades. This ’80s-era pack will be available June 25 at select Nike dealers.

Sperry Top Siders x Band of Outsiders
Fresh on the heals of their last venture with Sperry, Band of Outsiders is at it again with a new collaborative effort with the OG's of the boat shoe, Sperry. The Orange and Green pairs can stay in the background in my opinion, but the blue and light pink shoes could definitely get worked in to the rotation! Info via the Feed.
J. Cole | Work Out
I don't want to speak much on this track because J. Cole speaks for himself with his music. I will say my favorite part of the song was the Paula Abdul twist towards the end. Classic!

FreedMinds - Summer 2011
It's been awhile since I've shed light on a new and emerging brand, hasn't it? Enter stage left (West Coast, Bay Area to be exact) - Freedminds and their Summer 2011 collection, titled "High Quality Contraband". With a focus on design and craftmanship, and a connection to a certain high-profile west coast collective, expect to see a lot of FreedMinds aka FMFU in the future. For more info, check their Tumblr and Website.

Holly Madison and Angel Porrino shown above, modeling some swimwear from The Hundreds Summer 2011 Swimsuits. Coming soon - if all hints prevail.
Lil Wayne | Dear Anne
Tags: Lil Wayne, Music, More Music Videos
So I figured I'd add the live performance of the new cut off Carter IV from MTV Unplugged to this post because lyrically it was insane. Lil Wayne has came a long way and his star power was evident in his performance. As for the song a refresh of the Eminem track Stan very good but doesn't compare to Stan in my opinion. Enjoy!

James Drake Mixtape | James Blake x Drake
So I've been hip to James Blake for a while thanks to a couple people around my work and Drake is obviously a favorite to mash them up was genius. Still waiting for the Theophilus Londo/Cudi mashup. Anyways instead of me going on about how cool this tape is check what PIGS & PLANES had to say.
PIGS & PLANES:
You know this had to happen, right? Two artists as loved as Blake and Drake, and with rhyming names? It’s a mash-up maker’s wet dream. For the James Drake mixtape, Bombé & Mr. Caribbean have combined the sounds of Ja… shit, do I really have to explain? You get it. But be warned, there are some glitchy, nightmarish sounds ahead. Probably more for the typical Blake fan than the typical Drake fan, but try it out and see what you think.
Mr. Caribbean said:
“… a soundtrack for sippin Robitussun & Alize in an abandoned cathedral, covered in a velvet blanket with a sexy stranger on a dark night…”

aNYthing - Fall 2011
Fall line-ups already? I still think there are quite a few Summer lines out that have been unvieled, but that's not stopping aNYthing from jumping the gun on the competition and releasing images from the Fall 2011 collection. Rather than give you my spiel, check under the jump for their official write-up. More pics of the collection can be seen here.

Khemist - Money's on the Way ft Tyler James
My boy Dilemma hit me up yesterday on Twitter (HELLO WORLD!) to share some tracks he's been working on with a new artist, Khemist. Last time Dilemma was MIA for a bit, he came out of nowhere and dropped a mixtape/dvd combo (Everybody Still Wants a Beat from Dilemma). This time was no different - as it looks like Dilemma and Khemist are working on a monster with this Puzzle Pieces project (check out the 4-track sampler here). That first track, Money's On The Way, goes HARD. Dilemma does his thing with the production, I was impressed with Khemist's lyrics and delivery, and Tyler James brought it all together with the hook.
Check out the track below, and as always, be on the lookout for big things from the Hello World camp.
They'll listen, they'll listen, just give it time/

Nicki Minaj | Top Of The World
So I saw my partner RT this from rap radar and I was hesitant because a few Nicki Minaj tracks have surface that have been questionable. I am a Nicki fan she's versatile and the only one doing something decent right now atleast in the female rap category. This is a feel good track with a good vibe. Pre YMCMB I presume I dig it. EDWIN Denim - Behind the Scenes
I love watching Denim come to live - especially when the product is hand-made from raw Japanese denim on vintage US machinery. Check the video (after the jump) that gives you an inside look in to how Edwin makes its classic jeans - including the distressing portion (an inside look for you folks that like to have other people replicate the 'breaking in' process for you). I know a lot of you may not be overly familiar with the Edwin brand, so here is a short timeline to get you up to speed. Don't forget to check the vid after the jump!
Established in Japan 1947
Mr Tsunemi had a passion for denim, which inspired him to import them directly from the United States as no denim was manufactured in Japan at that time.
Used, worn-out and dirty denim which had to be laundered and mended by hand in order to sell on to his customers.
In 1951 domestically manufactured denim was available for the first time in Japan. This product was expensive and of inferior quality compared to its American counterparts.
Mr Tsumeni was driven to create his own denims, with greater sophistication in fits, washes and quality.
From this point on in Edwin denim history, quality, craftsmanship, innovation and integrity have been paramount to the ethos and aesthetic for the brand.
In 1961 Mr. Tsunemi crafted the first pair of Edwin denim jeans.
Utilising the letters D, E, N, I & M (reversing the M creating a W) he created the brand name ‘Edwin’.
By 1963 Edwin had produced the world’s heaviest ringspun denim jean (16oz), featuring the famous three-colour rainbow selvedge, which is still being used today.
In the 1970’s Edwin were the first company in the world to develop ‘old wash’ designed to replicate denim which have been worn from its rigid, unwashed state traditionally designed for workwear due to its durability.
In the 1980’s Edwin invented ‘stone washing’ which revolutionised the entire denim industry and was a pivotal moment in the evolution of denim manufacturing, thus influencing, every denim company in existence today.
In the 1990’s Edwin created the ‘new vintage’ denim concept, which encompasses the subtle beauty of hand replicating vintage washes from archive references pre-dating 1947.

Leroy Jenkins - Summer 2011 Lookbook
Leroy Jenkins! Man - I really thought this brand had faded away and become a distant memory (just as the all-over hoodie print era that birthed them had) - but alas - they are back with a vengeance! I'm diggin' these belts a lot [for the record - a colorful belt is allowed in my 2011 'all grey everything' mind state]. Aside from the belts pictured above - they also continue to play off their historic name with some political shirts/sweatshirts (again - in my opinion, only a certain demographic can get away with wearing some of the pieces without coming off a certain way and getting sideways looks - but maybe that's just me). Check out Hypebeast here for the full line-up.
Drake | Marvin's Room
So I'm trying not to big up Drake too much because it's obvious I dig his music, but right now who is doing what he's doing musically? Anyways this track is smooth and I know for sure his sophomore album will be better than the 1st hands down. He's been posting a lot of pictures with syrup in his cup etc. I don't condone it but he is definitely making some amazing music and 40 is giving him some dope tracks right now. In my opinion him and Cole are running things.
Also @ about 3:09 he switches it up listen.... #killer.

Big Sean | So Much More (Prod by No I.D.)

Rocksmith - Summer 2011 Lookbook
Complex shared images from your favorite rapper's favorite brand, Rocksmith, and I couldn't help but give props to blue shirt above featuring Big L's line from his classic freestyle more than a decade ago. This Summer's Rocksmith line-up is one of their strongest to date - vibrant colors and lightweight t's and tanks look strong - as do the cut-n-sew shorts.
Note to all brands out there - if you want to get a shirt featured on Oh Snaps! That's tight... - dedicate at least one piece of your collection to a Big L inspired lyric or graphic - and you got it! One of my first posts (August 2006) was dedicated to 3Sixteen's flip of the Harlem World logo inspired by Big L's lyrics - and I think I've posted every honorable tribute Big L T since. Come to think of it - I think I'm going to bust that shirt out of retirement this weekend.

TOMS Sunglasses
When I first started to hear rumors of TOMS venture in to making sunglasses with the same philanthropic message - I was instantly intrigued. Can they change the game again? The concept of "buy 1 give 1" wasn't exactly new - it had been done before. TOMS separated themselves by coming up with a new style of shoe altogether, making it stylish, and maybe most importantly, making them unbelievably comfortable. Where I think their Sunglasses line fails is in its originality. For the Men, you can basically choose between a makeshift pair of Ray-ban's, or the Aviator's pictured above. Look - I'm not trying to hate on what they've done here - I'm a fan of the message, and the products are still high-quality. I just think that at this point - they relied on their name and general 'cause' to sell units, rather than continuing to push forward with innovation. Check out their lookbook here.
Beyonce | Party (Feat Andre 3000) prod by: Kanye & Consequence
All I'm going to say is you know he's big time when Beyonce offers him the only feature on the album. He spits a few bars and doesn't disappoint. Kanye and Consequence on the boards I dig it, honestly I thought 3000 would produce it but overall a good track. Enjoy!

Supreme - Summer 2011 Tee's
If you follow Prodigy of Mobb Deep on Twitter - you knew that this year's annual Supreme Celeb Photo shirt was featuring none other than him. I couldn't help but laugh out loud at them re-creating the classic "kneeling prison-Polaroid shot" - complete with writing on the makeshift frame. Hilarious. Welcome home, P. Purchase June 9th at Supreme.

RIP: Jonas Bevacqua of LRG
I'm still catching up with all the news that I missed during that long holiday weekend - and I realize I need a late pass on this one in particular - but RIP Jonas Bevacqua of LRG. While I can say that I never have owned a piece of LRG clothing, I can say that there contributions to the industry have been unparrelled. From their old school advertisements featuring underground artists in XXL and The Source in the early 2000's, to penetrating the Bloomingdales market, to their Dead Serious hoody - they have done it all while not sacrificing their roots. Miss Info posted a nice interview that Jonas did with Karmaloop back in 08 where he shares his thoughts on the "limited edition" sub-culture in addition to his thoughts on selling out - check the video after the jump.

Nike Air Max 1 - Summer 2011 Colorways
Hypebeast got their hands on on the Summer 2011 colorways of the classic Nike Air Max 1, which you can check out here. The colors are a bit darker and deeper than past Summer offerings - but as with most AM1 drops - I'm on board.
