S-Double - Preview
Not much to add here. Shawn Stussy is utilizing the same minimalistic features as prominantly displayed in the two footwear models that have recently been released. Don't lose track of this brand, as I'm sure it will grow to be just as prominant as his previous venture, with a more mature twist.

New Kobe Zoom IV mark ups paying homage to the day he was drafted in the colorway of his original team (Charlotte Hornets). Problem? The first run of shoes printed the wrong date on the heel. Cop your 'sure to be' collectors item now, before they are reprinted with the correct draft date (6/26/96, google it).

Mos Def - The Estatic (DOPE idea!!)

New marketing ideas are rare in hip-hop these days but of course innovator Mos Def is bringing the creativity to the marketing campaign of his current album “The Ecstatic.” The album has already been released but in a new twist Mos Def has partnered with clothing company LnA which owns the Invisible DJ Music Tee to further push the album.
Basically, Mos Def’s next album will literally be sold through a t-shirt. The shirt will have “The Ecstatic” album cover on the front, track listing on the back and will include a special download code to download the entire album. Buy the shirt…get the album. Crazy thing is according to HipHopDX, SoundScan is going to count the t-shirt as an album sale. Sounds pretty cool…unless the shirt is ridiculously expensive.

I decided to massage the avsk8lo model because I felt they never gave this model enough love in the choices available... So here you have it, thick waxy leather up front, ballistic nylon where normally canvas would be used... Waxed cotton laces and a red leather footbed with some graphics... This joint will be available in Navy w/white stitching and Black w/black stitching... Sorry I can't tell you exactly where to get this shoe, as S/Double is not involved in the selling or distribution... Ask around at your local shop that sells Vans for some details... Chris Herren - Sober at Last
Boston.com has a great article up on the rehibilitation efforts of Chris Herren. I remember staying at my grandparents crib up in Visalia and being mesmorized by Fresno State Bulldogs backcourt, and once that FSN special came out, forget about it.
Anyway, highlights from the article:
