"you got your iphone first? yeah thats nice. but didn't you feel stupid when they dropped the price?"
"foxy went to jail for that probation thing, and every other song had a verse from lil wayne/ yeah he brought some heat to the game, this might be the only song that didn't feature T-Pain"
So I guess the good folk's over at The Hundreds are going to put out the remaining pieces from their past season's out in the store every Thursday until all of the goods run out. I'll swing by tomorrow, as I'm trying to pick up this Vintage Hundreds Mouse shirt. Hopefully the prices will be vintage Hundreds too?
Super dope! Droppin at Undefeated, and other select retailers, SOON! (to everyone in Gundo, it's pretty much official that these will be my kicks of choice for the ES BBALL Men's League come Spring...yesssir)
Famed SF based boutique HUF has droped their eagerly anticipated Winter line (part 1 at least). As ususal, you can expect fine quality tees, sweatshirts, and fitteds. I'm really feelin' the beanies above. Look out for part ii coming soon.
Looks like Nike is doing it BIG again by re-retroing the Nike Air Structure. First it was the Air Max Light that brought tears to my eyes when they brought back out, and now its the Structure. What's next, my beloved Air Pegasus?
So I got the word this weekend that one of the blog's avid readers/supporters is a HUGE Cam'ron fan... and since I've been bumpin this mixtape the last couple days, I thought I would get and lead you guys towards the free d/l of the double cd at Cam'ron's official Myspace page...
Cam is the same ol' Killa Cam, but he has some new dudes with him like PENZ and TOM GIST... the kid Penz is kinda sick.
"I put a whole banana clip in your bathin' apes, my flow like Somolia so I scrape the plate"
"Evaculate the club when i left the hammer go, i'm shootin like earl manigoat/i'm with your b**ch and she naked like marques houston, and d'angelo"
"keep talkin', i'll put one in your head like a unicorn"
Anyway, worth keepin an eye out for him. He may be the new Juelz...
Luckily I had an exam to take Friday Afternoon, otherwise I would have been somewhere in this mess (don't be fooled, the line went around Rosewood and up Fairfax as well). I would have liked to cop some Public Label at a 50% discount, but lets be honest. First ppl started campin out at 2pm (thanksgiving mind you), which is a good 15 hours before the sale began. Ouch!
Really good article on Portfolio.com discussing the rise and fall, or rise and rise, of NIGO and Bape. As the brand has been at the crossroads for the last 4 years, has the time finally come that it needs to make a decision on its future?
Yesterday marked the five year anniversary of Jam Master Jay’s death, but the legacy he left behind continues to be alive and well in and out of the Hip-Hop community. In conjunction with the J.A.M Awards on November 29 — a special benefit concert that focuses on rap’s social responsibility (What up T.I.P!), adidas hooked up four sneakers paying homage to the legendary DJ. An Ultrastar JMJ anchors the set of four, which include three Brougham JMJ models to be released exclusively at Footaction in late November. $70-80,

California based sunglass label Sabre have released their favorite style, "The Dude" in zebra print. Drawing inspiration from the classic wayfarer, these frames sport a more modern look with a squarer form. Available soon through Sabre accounts. Retail price is $85 USD. via Hypebeast
Fresh off San Diego based 5 & Dime's collab shirt with Rouge Status comes thier new logo shirt/collab with LA based The Hundreds. Hittin' the green door soon...
So Jay-Z had a listening party for his upcoming cd inspired by the Denzel Washington movie of the same name, American Gangster. Check the review outhere. After his last cd, I wasn't going to purchase anymore Hova cd's, mainly because I haven't been impressed since "the Blueprint". If the hype is correct the, the cd is sounding like it is going to be similar to the Reasonable Doubt era, and is apparently MORE soulful than The Blueprint. Damn, if that's the case...count me in.
So that's the video that almost made me want to download "The Graduation" rather than rushing out to Best Buy and coppin' it after a 12 hour work day. Like seriously, its that serious? I understand you put your heart and soul into your music/videos/everything you do, but at a certain point, you sort of have to realize "it is what it is" and keep it moving, not lose sleep over a VMA.
Child like temper tantrum cd, let's be honest: "Can't Tell Me Nothing" was the anthem. The daft punk sampling "Stronger" killed it, and dont get me started on the video. Getting the legendary Takashi Murakami to draw the artwork for you cd is ridiculous. The "battle" for the top spot with 50 cent was a marketing masterpiece. All the pieces were in place prior to the cd dropping....
And after the first listen, I gotta say, the cd lived up to the hype. Even if Kanye's list of complaints about the VMA's is almost as long as the tracklist ;)
He did come to the rescue of Britney and her, um, performance. “They exploited Britney in helping to end her career,” “When Britney was opening, near the end, I felt so bad for her. I said, ‘Man, it’s a dirty game. This game will chew you up and spit you out.’
Last kanye bit of the day (ok fine, the week)... fav song thus far is shaping up to be "Everything I Am" : "Here we go again, people talkin shit but when shit hit the fan, everything I'm not made me everything I am".
Wow...you could definitly snap necks in these vintage, deadstock Nike Air Vengeance shoes. These were originally released in 1984 as part of Nike's V series, and these are not the retro'd version that dropped recently, but part of the original drop (they're even made in the USA!) Anyway, starting bid is at $400, so bid away!
I'm not going to lie, I'm not into skating, never have been, never will....but the fact that skate culture plays a big role in the streetwear scene cannot be ignored.
That being said, I always have appreciated skateboards for the asthetic appeal of the artwork ( a skate deck makes just as good a canvas as anything else). With that, look for Redman's skate decks droppin at a skate store near you...
Milk Dee aka the guy that wrapped the old school hit "Top Billin" aka the guy's voice that is sampled on 50's current hit, I get Money, dropped his own freestyle/video on the I get Money beat...pretty dope
TBG out of Canada put up some items from their upcoming fall line. As always, you can expect nothing but the top notch quality from these two. Never ones to shy away from controversy, fall's theme is titled : "CHURCH: Pimps in the Pulpit ". Check the grey hoody above....lovin the simply colorway.
"My biggest inspiration and biggest competition is Justin Timberlake. He’s the only other person that gets an across-the-board response and respect level black radio, white radio. If Justin hadn't come out and killed the game, I can't say that my album, singles and videos would be on the same level that they're on. We push each other. I look at me and Justin like Prince and Michael Jackson in their day." - XXL
Head over to Stussy Direct to come up on some of Stussy's new line. As always, the push forward as one of the street-wear scene's original innovators. This line even includes a lil tye die action in the shirt above. Can't go wrong there.
So, pics hit the net of Ben Baller (aka K Town Huster) rocking the new LRG JASON hoody, supposed retain being $120. Interested to see if this catches on (blows up, fades out, and gets crazy bootegged) like the Skeleton one did...
Been hearin the rumors for over 2 years, but it looks like the LA BWS may finally hit the scene. Hypebeastwas kind enought to up a pic of the grand opening shirt...get in line now lol
So according to Miss Info, 50 acted a fool after finding out this video leaked online, ripped a 70in plasma off the g-unit office wall, through his phone through a window, and declared he's taking a vacation from promo.
Keep in mind this 50's FIFTH video, and his album hasn't dropped yet. Straight to the Bank, Amusement Park, I get Money, Ayo Technology, and now this. WOW. Not a good look when you're album isn't droppin till Sept 11th.
*Note* Be warned that Interscope is killin' off the youtube links to the video in hopes to salvage it, so if this one dies too, just hit up youtube and search, you'll see it.
*Update* 50 gives himself an out on the battle against Kanye: “And I bet this, when Kanye West’s sales come in, he’s gonna have a 70% decrease [the second week] ’cause Def Jam is gonna buy records to keep him closer to 50 Cent,” the Queens rapper added. “So watch the first week and then watch the second week. Watch his @#* drop off the planet. We keep our angles covered before we make a decent bet.”
Not much has been shown, but above you can see the La Coka Nostra x The Hundreds collab. This time around, they made the graphic dye-able, so you creative cats can do as you please with it.
"Great initiative from Lifelounge who have brought together a renowned international roster of artists for the ‘22 Flavours’ project. Each artist will design a tee using one of 22 icecream flavours as inspiration. Only 22 of each design will be made, and they will be available from lifelounge.com for 22 days. Proceeds will go towards Street Smart, a charity that works to feed the homeless."
Pretty dope, this is the exclusive "tiffany" colorway, half will drop online, half at the Diamond store. Nick Diamond said only about 400 are going to be made, and the only colorways we are sure about as of now are black and tiffany. Stay tuned for more info as the release date approaches.
