Marc by Marc Jacobs

High and Low-brow collide with this Marc by Mark Jacobs watch. Classy enough to compliment any suit - playful enough to spice up a work outfit. Personally - I love the different sizes of the numbers and the font used on the face - and the cartoon Marc, well, that adds character (sorry for the bad pun - I'm still recovering from a long weekend in Vegas).

The Hundreds - Locals Tee

I like the artwork on this T a lot - it gives me the vintage "T&C" feeling from back in the day (and no, not just because The Hundreds have commissioned old T&C artist Steve Nazar for select pieces going back to 2006 (OSTT Link)) - but for the aura, the feel, the cartoons, the various characters from different sides of the tracks, the beach scene - it all goes together. Check out the rest of part 2 of the Hundreds Spring/Summer drop here.

Lil Wayne - SONS?

My boy asked me what I thought about Lil Wayne's outfit (pause, no homo, ayo, etc) while sitting courtside at a recent Heat game - and I had no words. I didn't know if I should hate on it for looking like a hodgepodge of items thrown randomly together, or for being too matchy-match and coordinated in a "someone on my team spent 2 hours throwing this look together to make it look like I didn't think about it (there is a lot of subtle matching going on here - Shoes/Shorts, Laces/Font on Shirt, Hat/Font on Shirt, Bracelets/Shorts).

Anyway - a couple days ago this same photo popped up on one of my favorite "why am I here? I have a lot of more important stuff I should be doing" sites - aptly called, "Swag or No Swag". Check it.

UES - Rainbow County - Talon Zip Case

When it comes to breaking in a pair of jeans, or really wearing jeans in general - there are two factions: those that go with the flow and throw anything and everything in their pockets to stretch everything out and/or increase the wear/fading of their denim, and those that don't like to put anything in their pockets. I belong to the later. I dump all that I can in wifey's purse if she's with me, and if I'm riding solo - you'll never catch me with more than a thin wallet in the right one back pocket with a cell phone in back left, Car key in the front left pocket and Chapstick in the right coin pocket. Bare essentials.

As often as I can - I try to roll with a coin/zip case on a belt loop that can keep my key items out of my pockets. In my opinion - the Louis Vuitton pouch has been rocked to death - and is a little past its prime (see flicks of some of your favorites rocking the LV after the jump). I personally rocked an old Stussy one I got from Japan that held up strong the last 6+ years, but was recently looking to switch it up with something new and different. Enter UES/Rainbow County with their Talon Zip Case. Winner.

Purchase here.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski (Soft Blue)

Sky Blue, Baby Blue, Carolina Blue - I'm not sure how Nike determined that this should be a "Soft Blue" - but that's what they're calling it, so that's what we're calling it. Regardless of hue distinction - has Nike ever had a shoe template that looked this good in this many colorways? I'm going to go ahead and say the answer is no. This is building up to be Nike's answer to the Vans Authentic or, dare I say, the Converse Chuck Taylor. More pics here.

Leaders - Chicago Bulls Camo

The Bulls need to play like they are going to war tonight if they want this season (and their title hopes) to continue. Purchase via Chicago's premier streetwear shop, Leaders1354, here.

Lil Wayne | How To Love

So call me crazy but I like this song. I know it will get mixed reviews but this will be played heavily on the radio and it will grow on people. I don't mind it one bit. Enjoy!

Jadakiss | I Love You A Dedication to My Fans Mixtape

Been a long time since we heard Jadakiss. This is a dope mixtape short and to the point. The beats are solid and the hooks are solid. Dope little tape to listen on the fly. Enjoy!

Stussy x Dickies

Stussy and Dickies, each owning their own lane in the American Fashion Industry, collaborated a small collection of dress shirts, shorts, and hoodies. I wasn't sold on the collection when I first saw the images leak online - but after physically feeling the quality and craftmanship with my own hands - my opinion quickly shifted. Moral of the story - don't always judge a collection by the pictures - sometimes - the look and feel of the products make a world of difference.

Gabrstore 2011 Spring/Summer Lookbook

I really like looking at the presentation factors that different company's use when creating their lookbooks for a given season. The lookbook is essentially a commercial in that it is allowing the brand to control all the elements of the photo's to show how they want their product to be seen/worn for that given season. That being said - I love it when brands use different creative tools to show their imagery. Garbstore used some Ken-like mannequins to model their latest offering - which comes off with a modern American/J.Crew type feel. Check out more images from the lookbook here.

Meanderware Bags

Moe Nadal of Meanderware knows a thing or two about grinding. When he first decided to make the switch from photography to craftsmanship, he had his girlfriend teach him to sew with a needle and monofilament. Still too broke to afford top-notch materials - he'd go to fabric stores around the city and dig through dumpsters - getting the best goods he could. From there - his first round of wallets and bags were born (Re-use is one of the 3 factors of Recycling right? Reduce Reuse Recycle? Ok -this post is getting a green tag too!).

Enter 2011 - and he's no longer digging through dumpsters for fabric or working side hustles doing zipper repairs.  He continues to invest in himself - using profits from past sales to obtain the most quality products available - with the goal of creating individual bags that can be passed down from generation to generation. Currently - his pieces are available via appointment only, (meanderware@gmail.com, and you can check out the bags available for sale here. Support the independents!

SBTKRT | Wildfire Remix (Ft Yukimi, Little Dragon & Drake)

Little Dragon continues to deliver great work. Drake assist on this one as well. Seems like he's putting in a lot of work. Not mad at this one at all. Enjoy!

The Hundreds - Spring/Summer ROSEWOOD Collection

Head over to one of The Hundreds Flagship stores in LA, SF, NY, or SM to cop their store-exclusive Rosewood Collection shirts. The Rosewood collection shirts are usually the creme de la creme of their drops - and much more exclusive than their general releases. The shirt above is comedy - maybe not on first  glance to the untrained eye - since the typeface and cartoon image is nothing special - but if you know a thing or two about Honey Badgers, or if you are one of the 7.5 million people that have seen the absolutely hilarious "Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger" video on YouTube (embedded after the jump) - then you are on the inside.

Mike Posner | The Scientist (Cover)

If you saw the short film I posted the other day then you heard this song at the end. I respect this guy unique verse does all his own production and mastering. Plus a Coldplay cover? Why not? Enjoy!

Drake | Dreams Money Can Buy

Yes I know I'm gong heavy Drake but this is fresh out the oven. via Octobersveryown. I feel this and I know I say often I don't like him rapping but when he delivers like this I can't hate. I'm assuming this is a Take Care track. Either way TGIF! Enjoy! Don't F*%k with me!

Kreayshawn

It's funny how these posts come together sometime. On Wednesday the 18th, I saw this post on The Fader talking about how "Kreayshawn is Good and Weird" - checked out the music video - and kinda dug it. It was Wifey and I's 7 yr (#swag!) that night so we ended up hitting up Hot's Kitchen in Hermosa Beach to celebrate (that place deserves a post in and of itself - been there a few times now, and can't stop) - so I didn't end up re-posting it, and got side-tracked with what else was going on. Yesterday - the vid blew up. Sites such as Complex, The Hundreds, Swag or No Swag (one of my favorite Tumblr's out right now), and MANY more posted the video. The video had less than 30k views Wed night, and by this morning, was already approaching 200k with the quickness. Kind of goes with Hop talking about how the internet has changed the game -indeed it has! Back in our day (80's baby) - we'd have had to wait for this song to break indy, then get radio play, then eventually make its way on to MTV (which played music videos - and stood for Music Television - crazy, I know).

Anyway - I'm not that big of a fan of this chick - but I'm drawn to it. If Lil B, Andy Milonakis, Dirt Nasty, Lady Gaga, and Ke$ha had an orgy - I imagine this is what their love child would turn out to be. Regardless, the video is hot, the hook is infectious ("Gucci, Gucci, Louis, Louis, Fendi, Fendi, Prada / Basic bitches wear that s--- so I don't even bother."), and some of the bars are kinda clever ("Bitch you ain't no Barbie / I see you work at Arby's / No. 2, super-size / Hurry up, I'm starving.")

Maestro Knows | Mike Posner Short Film

I'm going to let the video do all the talking. Basically PrinceofGundo put me onto this guy been a fan ever since. Can't wait for his new music to drop. My spidey senses tell me it's going to be some great music. You can also catch a sneak peek of a couple tracks that sound EXCELLENT! Maestro also always makes some good short docs. Enjoy!

Drake | Close To The End (Throwback Thursday)

I've been listening to a lot of Drake after that "I'm On One" track and I came across this gem and decided I'd call it a Throwback Thursday track. It came out a while ago on Comeback Season. 40 is on the beat he always comes through sounds like a sample form what song I'm not quite sure. Also another note this is mostly of Drake rapping which at times I don't mind if the beat is this good then I def don't mind. Plus the start of this song is interesting. If you want to catch yourself up on a few hot tracks from Drake all in once place check out this mixtape here: Drake Presents O.V.O. Enjoy!

Complex Presents - The top 50...

Is there any site online that can see the Complex Top 50 lists? I'll help you out - the answer is no. Complex has been putting down these lists for years with unparalleled success. Their latest list profiles the "Top 50 Hottest Women Wearing the Hottest Sneakers"- and again - and the put together a nice list (aside from the Vans Authentics, Chucks, and Nike Shox pics - c'mon).

By now, you know the chicks that take their kick game serious (Ciara, Cassie, Amber Rose, Rihianna, etc) - but you can catch some other surprises in this top list as well. Pictured above is the surprise winner - 18 y/o SI model Kate Upton (who recently twit-pic'd the image above). Check some of the other top picks after the jump.

UNIONMADE - 2011 Spring/Summer

I've always been a fan seeing the process of clothes to come to life, and in particular - the line sketches always draw me in as a place where fashion and art meet. UNIONMADE commissioned Richard Haines to illustrate their Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook, and it turned out amazing. After the jump, check out the illustration above with the notes from the author, and check out the entire lookbook over at UNIONMADE's site here.

O-Check - Leather Notebook

Had a meeting the other day, and the Partner from this consulting firm we hired busted out the most beautifully aged leather notebook I have ever seen. Being me - I had to ask him about it, and he said he received it over 20 years ago when he was a staff with the firm just starting out. I've been rocking with some quality notebooks the last couple years - but they've always been more along the "green" or "environment-friendly" route. I found a similar product over at Jenni Bick , and will be making the jump after my current notebook fills up. Check after the jump for additional information on the O-Check company.

Wale | That Way (Ft. Jeremih & Rick Ross)

I love remakes of old school beats. Lex Luger has been making some bangers and Wale has been impressive. Jeremih also delivers that R&B groove to this that makes you rock your head. Probably my favorite off this album. Enjoy!

Drake Ft Rick Ross & Lil Wayne | BTS: i'm On One

Making Of "I'm On One" from Dazed One on Vimeo.

This song in my opinion is the best hip hop song out right now hands down. I'm not going to lie kind of wish DJ Khaled wasn't in this video as much but as a good blogger I'm going to say he did well putting this one together although he doesn't rap one verse or produce any of the track..... With that being said check out behind the scenes of how it came about. This song is a beast! Enjoy!

Bon Iver | Calgary

New Bon Iver. I'm feeling this it puts me in a tranquil mood. Anxious to hear what his sophomore sound will be like. Either way this is a good change of pace from all the music coming out lately. Enjoy!

Made of High Quality leather out in Italy, the raw leather design features some embroided needlework and the Paul Smith signature on the front along with one card slot, and a blank canvas with two slots on the back. Edwin x Master Piece Backpack

When I stumbled on this Edwin and Master piece raw denim backpack last week - I was stoked! I've been looking to step up my backpack game (nothing against the SUPREME bag I've been wearing out the last few years, or the Stussy joint I've had since '96, I just felt like it was time for something a little more classy). Looks like this is a Japan only release - and its already sold out at the Edwin online store, so if anyone has an inside track to purchase this - hit me on Twitter. Check out other pieces from the collection over at High Snobiety.

Nike Haurache (White, Fresh Water)

The '92 Huarache's were minimalism at its best. Combined the comfort of a sandal, with the performance of a Sneaker - and then strip away everything that's unnecessary"

Nike Huarache's were the first shoes that I was so thirsty for as a youngster, that I bought them with my hard earned chore money. I don't know what it was about the shoe - I think it was the overally uniqueness of the shoe - and the fact that no one that I knew I had them - made them a must buy

Nike has tried to re-create its magic with the Huarache's over the year by introducing new, updated models (2k4? Ugh). Every now and then, they release an original pair in an updated colorway that gets my juices pumpin again (pause). These Huarache Trainers? Um, Yes please. Purchase here.

After the jump, check out a pic of the original Huarache's that I first fell in love with, as well as an excerpt from Episode 4 of the Sneaker documentary, Laced, discussing the shoe.

DJ Khaled | I'm On One (Ft. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne)

I am a couple days late on here because blogger has been down but this song will be played heavily in clubs and on the radio. So I'd rather I play it out myself then let the radio play it out. Drake's verse is killer, Ross verse is killer, Lil Wayne's verse is okay I've heard better verses from him. Regardless this production is tight! Enjoy!

Warriors of Radness x Opening Ceremony Crewneck

Two of my favorite things combined on this one! Warriors of Radness, and hand drawn graphics. Check the video after the jump showing the process creating the crewneck. You can purchase other pieces from the collaboration here.

This is my blog partners boy! No in all seriousness this track is actually really good every now and then C. Hamilton brings it this is a solid track that I'll stand behind. Enjoy!

OBEY - Gaucho Style

You know I rep the Gaucho's hard, right? Ha. Add some color to your Summer Wardrobe with a piece from OBEY's Gaucho collection, which you can purchase here. Purchase all 4 and take the risk of looking like a walking pinata if you must - but a little spice never hurt anybody. Also - with Summer coming up quick, OBEY has a lot of quality tanks that you can purchase on their site here. Suns out - Guns out.

Kid Cudi | Falling Star (R3K Remix)

This is pretty solid. This is a symphonies remix with a little bit of Florence & The Machine if I'm not mistaken. If Kid Cudi does go hard rock this Cudi will be missed. I'm a fan regardless. Enjoy this laid back cut.

Stussy - No Music, No Life

Felt like this upcoming STUSSY x Tower Records collaboration shirt captures J-Hop's mood when he is posting/tweeting about music - so I had to share it! Seriously though - I like it when Stussy goes for the more 'minimalistic' branding/graphics as they do in this collab. Additional pictures from the capsule release here.

"Lady Luck"

"Spirits"

So the best part about loving music and blogging about it is people often look out and send you new music suggestions. My buddy @j83out sent this my way and one listen and I was blown away not just because of the music but there is something about hearing music from a relative unknown that makes it twice as good in my opinion. You can go purchase the album (or find it somewhere on the web *cough cough*) I recommend checking it out though. For now I've provided a couple tracks to help you make the decision.

Pictured above is the "Island" tee - part of the Summer 2011 offering from The Hundreds. Purchase here, or at your local THLA retailer.

James Jarvis - Fishing

Every now and then, when I'm out with friends and we are all constantly checking/fiddling with our phones/ipads/computers/cameras/etc, I think of this James Jarvis piece, titled "Fishing". It was part of a commissioned collection that James did for Sony back in early 2000 (see the whole collection here), so I don't think it was meant as a critique of how technology has inundated our lives, but hey, art is subject to different interpretations, and that's mine.

Speaking of Art - finally got a chance to stop by Angel City Brewing Company at Downtown LA with some of the OSTT crew. Good Beer, and through July 10th, you can enjoy their exhibit titled "Street Brewed" - a collection of over 25 world renowned street artists (Phil Lumbang, Shepard Fairey, Ron English, etc) using a 10 x 12 wood panel (supported by kegs) as their canvas while they do what they do best. I hate it when websites / blogs ruin art galleries by posting every single piece at a show, but if you want a small preview (1 blurry cell phone pic, ha) - check after the jump.

RBG Fit Club

Stic.Man from Dead Prez has been promoting the healthy lifestyle for a couple years now. The process included improving his diet (Vegan), eliminating toxins (no Alcholol, Weed, or other substances), dedicating himself to workouts (Karate, Yoga, Running, Lifting, etc), and continuing to make that positive music he has become known for. You can join the RBG Fit Club by putting your mind to it, simple as that ("membership is free. promote by example").

Anyway, I stumbled on Stic's latest CD, aptly titled, The Workout, via the wonders of Twitter. I know what you are thinking - "A 14-track album about songs inspired by living a healthy lifestyle and working out? Sounds corny." All I can do on this one is say trust me, it's not, and recommend that you check some of the music out. Maybe it just hit me because I woke up and was too hungover to go swimming like I planned - but after watching the video (and listening to the lyrics) for "Back on my Regimen" - I felt the need to instantly purchase the cd.

Check out the video for "Back on my Regimen" (Talk about inspiring!) and "Runners High", in addition to the 5 Principles of the RBG Fit Club after the jump.

HUF - Summer 2011 Lookbook

I think that HUF has made the transition in to making quality footwear quite well (for casual use and skateboarding, mind you), and you can checkout their entire lookbook featuring the Summer 2011 collection over at Hypebeast. I like the picture above - but if they would have flipped to have the skateboard and shoes emerging FROM the shadows instead of heading in to it - it'd be game over from an imagery perspective.

Stussy x Marvel - KIDS edition

When news of this collab between Stussy and Marvel first dropped - I was pretty pumped. Legendary Streetwear company collaborating with the Comic OG's? At first glance, it had the makings of a classic Collaboration. If you are part of the Oh Snaps faithful, however, you know that I never posted information related to the project/release, and that should've said enough. After checking out the release, I was pretty let down. I felt the collaboration was lackluster at best- the project relied too heavily on the Stussy branding, and the characters utilized on the Marvel side were too bland and predictable. On top of that, I felt the overall product was geared toward the pre-teen generation (feel free to insert sardonic crack about comics being for kids - but let's be honest, they don't call them graphic novels for nothing).

Anyway - when Stussy announced they were releasing a line-up of shirts for this kids - everything came full circle. This has something for everything. You can be happy that your kid is wearing Stussy, your kid can be happy he's wearing a comic superhero that he actually knows, and your wife can be happy that you bought a t-shirt for someone other than yourself for a change.

T-Pain | PrEVOLVEr The Mixtape

Alt DL: PrEVOLVEr Mixtape

Pretty good mixtape. I've always been a T-Pain fan I know he uses a lot of auto tune but so did Roger & Zapp.... Good thing a lot of these tracks were suppose to be on the album but this is what happens when business and music collides you say eff it and release a mixtape with all the music that you intend to put on an album. So enjoy it's free! Oh and go DL OSTT Vol. II.

Jo & Hop Presents... | OSTT Vol. II

It's about that time! Sorry it took so long. Also because it took so long, look for Vol. III to come out this month as well. First of all I want to thank my boy Jo for connecting with me on this project. He did work on the cover and helped me select songs for Vol. II. We have visions along with PrinceofGundo for this to be a hot item every month. So thanks for the support and words of encouragement on Vol. I, keep supporting.

Also another quick hitter. When we put these mixtapes together we do it with intentions of you to check out the artist. We know you may not like every track but there is always a gem. This one also in my mind started off as a story based on the album cover. I saw it and instantly had a mood for the mixtape which reflects the melody of the music. So when your looking at the album cover the music should somewhat be the art along with he music.

Hit the jump to download & see the track list along with thoughts on why we picked those tracks. DSE (Download, Share & Enjoy!)

Derick Rose - MVP

Congrats to Derick Rose for becoming the youngest NBA player to ever win MVP at 22. Averaging 25 points, 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds while leading his team to a #1 seed in the East - no arguments here. Check out an interview with Mr. Rose over at ESPN. The Hundreds unveil some images from their Summer 2011 line - dropping this Thursday. While the lookbook images look like they could have been lifted from any recent Warriors of Radness shoot - the gear definitely has the summer vibe. LAQ x DARCEL by Craig Redman - Furniture Collection

These furniture pieces look crazy (in a good way)! Obviously you couldn't have too many of these pieces in your collection, or else your pad would end up looking like Pharell's spot, but a single piece would spice up any room in the right way.

Sidenote: I think Pharell's pad is amazing from an architecture/landscaping/art/location perspective - just not as a 'home'. For a vacation spot? Can't be topped. If you haven't seen Pharrell's mansion before, check out the pictures here.
