This is pretty hilarious. Not sure if you guys have been keeping up with the whole controversy surrounding Jay Z headlining the Glastonbury Festival overseas. Supposedly ticketsales aren't what they have been in the past (even though they sold 100k tickets on the first day) and some people, namely Noel Gallager from the group, Oasis, took exception to a Hip Hop artist (Jay-Z) headlining the festival this year. Check some of his comments here. Anyway, Jay-Z opened up his set over at Glastonbury playing Oaisis' US/Global crossover hit, Wonderwall. Pretty dope. New Johnny Cupcake Up for Grabs!

I get the feeling that a lot of you guys aren't too fond of Johnny Cupcakes stuff. Whether it's the cupcake theme, the light hearted, colorful/playful theme, or the fact that he's from Boston, lol. I kind of think of JC has a east-coast Hundreds, and support likewise. This shirt above just dropped recently, and looks sick. A little bright, even for me, but I'm definitely going to cop. Shoot, especially with THIS COMING OUT SOON!

Versace - Spring/Summer 08

I know I normally don't delve much into high fashion here. I have to dress to impress every day at work, so when it comes to my free time, I like to take it back to comfort with the shirts and kicks. Anyway, Donatella Versace up and dedicated her 2008 S/S line to Barack Obama, after describing him as the "man of the moment" and "a relaxed man who doesn't need to flex muscles to show he has power". Air Penny II, retro'd!

Classify these under the "shoes i would kill for when i was young, but couldn't afford with my chore money". Originally released in '97, the Air Penny II's are back with a vengence. Look for these to drop in November. Go here for more info via NiceKicks

Lazy x Nike SBTG = The Paramount Dunk

I'm not a huge fan of black shoes, or dunks in particular, but this collab here is absolutley killin it. Snake Skin Nike Sign? Gucci Denim? Gucci Colorway pipin? This shoe is clean, and will be copped. Might as well get 2 pairs to make it worth my while. Check Hypebeast for more pics/info...

Locked Up...

So after dating the better part of the last year, Marko Jaric (yes, the Euro PG I despised while he was on the Clippers) popped the question to everyones favorite Supermodel, Adriana Lima, on her 27th birthday. I'll try my best not to post any hate-filled pics of Marko, like how he was always dressed like he was ready to go straight to the club whenever he sat out of Clipper games (Chest hair showing, faux-hawk in full effect), or post a video of the time he checked in to a Timberwolves game with his jersey on backwards. I'll just say, congrats! lol...

There was the "Freestyle - Shark", and it is back with a vengence. Not that it ever left, but their new "SHARK CLASSIC MID 80's" dropped, and brings back memories. Check out the Lakers colorway as well, lol.

Hundreds - Summer Rosewood collection

Droppin' tomorrow only at their flagship locations (Rosewood in LA and Post in SF). Have a few shirts I'm going to definitely have to pick up. We'll see if I can fight the funk. Check their site for an interesting step by step dynamic of how they put their SF store together...pretty sick.

Which means its time to hop on a plane/train/bus and take a trip. I stumbled on this brand while going through one of my girls magazines (no homo?), but did some research and not only do they have fly designs, but superior quality as well. Stand out a bit when your stuff is going through the carosel for the baggage claim, and pick up some TRKFLD bags now.

Reebok - Reverse Jam

I'm all for flashy kicks, especially on the bball court when you are on the court with 4 teamates dressed in the exact same uniform. Ya gotta show off your threads/flavor somehow, but these are even a bit much for me. Reebok retro's reverse jams, dropping at the end of the month according to Complex

Nike SB is releasing a dunk modeled after one of my favorite beers, NewCastle. Had to through it out there. Scheduled for a June release.

Boat Shoes... Not just for Gramps anymore

Boat shoes are back with a vengence this year! Shown above is the new Rockport model in both Navy and Red... evens Vans are coming out with a pair this season for the ladies. In my opinion, you need to stick with the classic and go for the Sperry Top Slider. They've been doin it for years and the comfort can't be beat. Anyways, don't be shocked to see the boat shoes leave the docks and hit the streets all summer long.

Laker v Celtics : NBA FINALS

Are you guys getting ready for the NBA Finals! As the 40 games in 40 nights known as the NBA playoffs come to an end, we're left with a sure to be classic series (for nostalgic purposes if nothing else) between the Lakers and Celtics.

Keep a look out for my boy Ray Ray, who is sure to drop some knowledge on the series over at Sports Hub LA.

Huf LA - Now Open for Business

So the much rumored HUF LA store has opened (where else but on Fairfax, a couple shops down from Freshjive's flagship store, the Reserve). I was wondering how this was going to work since all the HUF's in SF sell brands such as Supreme (right across the street from the LA HUF) and Stussy (Barracuda on Melrose already has a Stussy account, and the Stussy flagship is a couple miles away off of La Brea), but apparently this store is only selling HUF branded products. Insdie of the store looks pretty legit, check out some pics via The Hundreds. Makes a trip to Fairfax all the more enticing.
