Digger's Society

So a few months ago, the wonderful website known as via Digital Gravel started their monthly T shirt club, The Digger's Society. I had mixed feelings. I want to be cultured and refined, and hey, its the same premise as a wine club, right? Ok, that wasn't my motive, but the price coming out to about $20 per shirt was, and the fact that they are collarborating with top notch brands (The Hundreds, Mighty Healthy, Fresh Jive, Lemar & Dauley, and many more), they are super limited(only produced for members), and I'm not going to front, I thought that knowing I had a cool shirt coming in the mail every month would give me a break from surfin' the net for sick shirts so much (hasn't happened yet, but you never know). ANYWAY... I joined, and here is September's shirt:

Cassie - Me and You

This has been floating around online for a bit... Cassie's original video for "Me and You" (before signing to Bad Boy)....adds a new 'nasty/freaky' feeling to the song...who'd a thunk it?

A Couple of Good 'Streetwear' Articles

"The Brand Underground" - Takes a bit of a condescending, holier than thou look at the streetwear scene, but it is an informative look that goes beneath the surface so its worth checking out anyway.

Luda Feat Pharrell - Money Maker

Decent song, decent video. Mainly just posting this since 'Skateboard P' is rocking the Terry Kennedy's L.E. Ice Cream Skate shoe, and because my girl (what up B!) said, and I quote, "oh and about those shoes NOOOOOOOO! I forbid you to buy those, Ice Creams or not pink is so yesterday!" Thoughts?

The Duke Curse

As a life-long (OK..3rd Grade and counting) fan of Duke Basketball, this is not something I haven't noticed. It always seems to be my favorite players (the Hurley's, the Hills, the Avery's (who even remembers him?), the Jason Williams) who end up getting career-ending injuries or just falling off the face of the earth. I know Hill has "come-back" numerous times, but lets face it, dude has more metal inside him than Robocop. Who knows if Jason Williams was smart for postponing his comeback, or if no one was interested in one. Anyway, here's an old article on the curse of Duke from SI

(PS...I didn't forget EB or CM, I'm just avoiding the obligatory jinx)

Melrose Shirt

"So pal back up a bit, give me elbow space
I represent Harlem World, not Melrose Place" - Big L

Ok, so it's actually a Harlem shirt...but I couldn't deny this one. Even though I rep Melrose a lot more frequently than I've been to Harlem (twice for those keeping count)... I had to show love to this shirt since 1. Harlem is home to some of my favorite rappers (what up Postaboy, Ma$e, Big L, Dipset, and Loon) 2. You can't front on the show Melrose Place (what up Heather Locklear!), or the actual street, my favorite spot to waste my hard earned money).

Anyway, I copped this hot 3Sixteen from Digital Gravel , and you should do the same!
